Meet Our Dentist
Dr. Michael Choi graduated magna cum laude from Duke University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. During his undergraduate years, he developed a strong interest in biomedical research, conducting studies on graft-versus-host disease. His work was recognized nationally, earning him an Abstract Achievement Award from the American Society of Hematology.
Beyond academics, Dr. Choi dedicated time to service after graduating from Duke, working as a college advisor for a local high school in Durham, NC. Through a partnership between AmeriCorps and the Duke University College Advising Corps, he helped guide underrepresented students through the college admissions process, fostering opportunities for higher education. He later pursued his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, where he remained at Columbia to complete his endodontic residency as well.
During his time at Columbia, Dr. Choi developed a deep commitment to precision, lifelong learning, and patient-centered care. For his achievements and accomplishments, he was selected to receive the prestigious AAE Endodontic Award for Excellence and was recognized as a Columbia Commons Scholar. His residency research explored the utilization of guided tissue regeneration in endodontic surgery, contributing to advancements in surgical techniques and patient care.
Dr. Choi is dedicated to delivering the highest standard of clinical care for his patients. Emphasizing a thoughtful and patient centered approach, he strives to create a comfortable and reassuring experience for his patients while developing comprehensive treatment plans to address each individual’s specific needs.
He is an active member of several professional organizations, including: The American Association of Endodontists (AAE), American Dental Association (ADA).
Outside the operatory, Dr. Choi finds joy in cooking and sharing meals with his wife, family, and friends.
