Dr. Joyce Munn

Dr. Joyce Munn was raised in the Boston area of New England, where her passion for science and healthcare first took root. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Adelphi University in three years. She then pursued a Master’s degree in Medical Sciences at Boston University, further deepening her understanding of the biological foundations of medicine and dentistry.

Driven by a love for adventure and a desire to broaden her perspective, Dr. Munn chose to complete her dental education internationally at Universidad Europea de Madrid in Spain. It was there that she discovered her passion in endodontics, nurtured by the mentorship of passionate faculty and hands-on clinical training.

Her pursuit of excellence led her back to Boston, where she completed a rigorous endodontic residency program at Boston University. With advanced training in root canal therapy, microsurgical techniques, and pain management, Dr. Munn developed a deep commitment to precision, patient-centered care, and lifelong learning.

Following her residency, Dr. Munn accepted a faculty position at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in Michigan, where she taught endodontics to predoctoral students. Her contributions were recognized in 2019 when she received the Faculty Appreciation Award from the Student Government Association.

Dr. Munn is passionate about delivering the highest quality of care to her patients. She believes in a gentle, empathetic approach and strives to make every dental experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Her focus is always on comprehensive care tailored to each individual’s needs.

She is an active member of several professional organizations, including: The American Association of Endodontists (AAE), American Dental Association (ADA), The North Carolina Dental Society.

Outside of her practice, Dr. Munn enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling, and discovering unique local restaurants.
